Lambeth Conference Bible Study 2008!

The 20s and 30s of St. Mary’s invite ALL members of the parish for a Lambeth Conference Bible Study!

What is the Lambeth Conference?: The Lambeth Conference is one of the global Anglican Communion's Instruments of Communion. It takes place every ten years at the invitation of the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is the one occasion when all bishops can meet for worship, study and conversation. Archbishops, diocesan, assistant and suffragan bishops are invited. Also invited are bishops from other churches 'in communion' with the Anglican Communion, bishops from United Churches and a number of ecumenical guests. This year’s meeting takes place in England from July 16-August 4, 2008.

What is the Lambeth Conference Bible study?: This special series - focusing on St John’s Gospel - complements the Bible studies in which the bishops and their spouses will take part during the Lambeth Conference 2008. We hope that people throughout the Anglican Communion will use this series as a way of being present in spirit at the Lambeth Conference, supporting their bishops before, during and after this important gathering. You can find a copy of the study either on-line at http://www.lambethconference.org/lc2008/resources/index.cfm or a printed copy in the parish hall.

When will the St. Mary’s Study group meet?:  We will meet three times.

1.     Wednesday July 16th, 7:30-8:30 (Vestry)

2.     Tuesday July 22nd, 7:30-8:30

3.     Wednesday July 30th, 7:30-8:30
